Creative tech startup Ad-Lib makes strategic hires to manage phenomenal growth

Creative startup Ad-Lib Digital has made three strategic hires to manage its phenomenal growth since launch in September 2017, bringing the ad-tech company to nearly 40 staff within a year.

Harry Melsom, previously a Creative Business Partner at Google ZOO joins as Product Manager; Janne Smith previously at Google DoubleClick and Lasma Ilzina who joins from Merkle Periscopix, are both appointed as Client Strategy Leads to manage Ad-Lib’s brand advertiser portfolio including HSBC, Warner Brothers, Tesco, Virgin and Johnson & Johnson.

Oli Marlow-Thomas, founder, Ad-Lib said, “The growth of Ad-Lib has far exceeded my expectations, we have run over 100 campaigns and we’re working with some exciting brands, providing performance uplift and production efficiencies since Day 1. We are engaging with advertisers who appreciate our innovative real-time tech and our focus on creative KPIs based on relevance rather than reach.”

Ad-Lib scales and optimises advertising seamlessly with media targeting, bringing programmatic creative to life.

Harry Melsom brings nine years’ industry experience from roles at Facebook, Pinterest and most recently the ZOO at Google. He will assist newly appointed Ed Lyon, Head of Product, to quantify the impact of Ad-Lib’s creative data on digital campaign performance.

Janne Smith joins Ad-Lib from Google Ireland where she was in a digital marketing role for five years working across the Nordic region; growing programmatic revenue by 70% YoY by providing strategic advice to global agencies and clients on Google’s Marketing Platform.

Lasma Ilzina was previously a programmatic team leader at Merkle Periscopix, where she was responsible for planning and managing campaigns across the DoubleClick Stack and Amazon Advertising Platform for brands such as Warner Brothers, Tesco and Estée Lauder.
