MEC appoints 12 new apprentices in groundbreaking #MECLiveHire drive at Advertising Week Europe 2016

MECMEC has hired 12 new apprentices after they took part in the #MECLiveHire initiative at Advertising Week Europe.

The successful candidates, who will join the MEC Evolution Apprentice Programme, took part in the #MECLiveHire drive at Advertising Week Europe on Monday, which involved MEC holding a series of 15-minute speed interviews. Candidates were informed on the day and invited to celebratory evening drinks ahead of joining MEC as an Evolution Apprentice on May 3rd.

The #MECLiveHire initiative was developed as an innovative way to recruit entry-level talent in real-time. It formed part of MEC’s partnership with Advertising Week Europe 2016 to change the face of talent management in the industry.

As the presenting sponsor of Advertising Week Europe Talent Track on Monday, April 18th, MEC supported a day-long programme to explore how to find, develop and retain the best people.

Marie Claire Barker, MEC’s Global Chief Talent Officer, said: “Congratulations to the successful apprentices. At MEC we want to be nothing less than a game-changer when it comes to talent management and recruitment, to drive the success of our people, our clients and our industry.”

Rebecca Eaves, Director of Advertising Week Europe added: “Following the success of MEC’s Live Hire in New York last year, this initiative is exactly what our industry needs and we’re thrilled the agency chose to open its doors to new faces at Advertising Week Europe this year.”
