JM5_9876-editedPaul Frampton has been promoted to Chief Executive of Havas Media Group in the UK and Ireland. This announcement follows the recent move of Pedro Avery to Global CEO of Havas Sports & Entertainment.

As Havas Media Group’s UK MD, Frampton unified the management teams across the group for the core media agency brands, Havas Media, Arena Media and Forward Media; entertainment and experiential agency Havas Sports & Entertainment Cake; data management and customer engagement agencies DBi, ais London and Arnold KLP.

Frampton was also instrumental in extending Havas’ footprint into the North West, with the opening of Havas Village Manchester. Havas Media Ireland will also fall under his new remit.

Dominique Delport, Global Managing Director of Havas Media Group comments: “Paul is an energetic and visionary leader. He was one of the first in the group to leverage our meaningful connections and organic marketing propositions, laying the foundations for him to create a new, more integrated and flexible style of agency in the UK. This strategy has already delivered tangible benefits to our clients and our teams. I am fortunate to have such a talented executive leading the Havas Media Group in the UK and Ireland.”

Frampton will further focus on the Havas Group’s vision for innovation and build on the company’s client focused strategy for growth. This strategy has seen Havas Media Group’s billings rise to more than £500m. New business wins over the last year include the BBC, Royal Mail, O2, Jacobs Douwe Egberts, EA Games, Coca Cola, Canon and London Business School. Paul and his agency teams have also conceived award-winning campaigns such as Domino’s Pizza Legends and Channel 4’s Most Contagious Content with O2 Priority. They were also instrumental in the highly publicised changeover of the BBC’s first digital only channel, BBC 3, in the UK.

Paul Frampton said: “I am proud of the evolution the team at Havas Media Group has achieved in offering a fresh model for media to meet our client’s needs. The type of projects we are now working on take us beyond media, opening up more creative, innovative and exciting opportunities for our industry. We are all looking forward to our move to King’s Cross and building a new, future facing agency group in the Havas Village London.”
