Clarion Communications wins Tate & Lyle Sugars

Tate & Lyle Sugars has appointed Clarion Communications as UK PR agency for its Lyle’s Golden Syrup and Tate & Lyle brands.

Clarion won the competitive three-way pitch by demonstrating its ability to develop creative media and influencer strategies that bring the company’s brands to the attention of a new generation of consumers. Focus will be on baking, breakfast and seasonal events such as pancake day, also encompassing trade media.

Nick James, Marketing Director, Europe for Tate & Lyle Sugars commented: “Clarion impressed us with a thorough and insightful pitch. They have a great track record and have exciting plans to raise the profile of Lyle’s Golden Syrup and Tate & Lyle with a new generation of consumers. We are pleased to welcome them onto our team.”

Sue Roberts, Managing Partner at Clarion Communications who is heading up the account said: “It’s not every day that you get the chance to work with such an iconic brand as Lyle’s Golden Syrup. We’re thrilled about the opportunity to help people reimagine all the products, while no doubt perfecting some of our own baking skills along the way!”
