TBWA Chairman Jean-Marie Dru to give President’s Lecture at Berlin School

On November 8th, TBWA Chairman and celebrated global advertising veteran Jean-Marie Dru will return to the Berlin School to give a special President’s Lecture and Q&A round with Berlin School President Michael Conrad entitled “”Calling for a New Age of Imagination”.

Dru, the man behind TBWA’s universal planning method, Disruption, and author of four best selling books, recently released a new book entitled “JET LAG: An Adman’s View on the World”.

In his new book Dru takes the reader on a whirlwind journey from New York to Paris, from Tokyo to LA as he reveals some of the best business and advertising stories in the world, spawning an idea a minute as he pleads for a new Age of Imagination.

Dru began his career in 1971 at Dupuy Compton (now Saatchi & Saatchi) and went on to cofound BDDP in 1984. After BDDP merged with TBWA in 1998, Jean-Marie Dru became president international of TBWA Worldwide and then was appointed Chairman in 2008.

Having been involved with the Berlin School since its inception, Dru is an ardent supporter of quality advanced leadership education for executives in the creative industry. In 2008 Dru was awarded the French Légion d’Honneur for his long-lasting contribution to the advertising industry and to the business world.

Dru’s upcoming visit marks his third visit to the Berlin School in the past four years and in addition to the President’s Lecture, Dru will also hold a special closed door Master Class for current Berlin School EMBA participants. Copies of Dru’s new book will be available for signing following the President’s Lecture, which takes place from 16:00-17:30.
