WICKES APPOINTS ST LUKE’S AS LEAD CREATIVE AGENCY

Wickes, the home improvement retailer announce they have appointed St Luke’s as its lead creative agency following a competitive pitch. The pitch was run by intermediary Oystercatchers and involved a final response from three agencies including St Luke’s.

St Luke’s will be the lead agency of record for Wickes and its remit includes all creative advertising for the brand across TV, VOD and radio from 2024. The work will span Wickes’ DIY and Trade offering, as well as the kitchen and bathroom design and installation business.

Wickes is a market-leading, uniquely balanced home improvement business with sales split broadly across three customer propositions – Trade, design and installed kitchens and bathrooms and DIY – and has a simple purpose to help the nation feel house proud.

The business has 230 physical stores across the UK and plans for new openings over the next five years. Wickes takes pride in being an innovative omni-channel retailer. Their outstanding work has been recognised through various marketing and digital awards. Additionally, they have garnered praise for collaborating with presenter, singer and DIY enthusiast Kimberley Walsh and for their market-leading partnership with Bauer, plus their deep partnerships with Global, Fix Radio and Mail Metro Media.

Mandy Minichiello, Head of Marketing – Kitchens & Bathrooms, PR & Social at Wickes said “We are delighted to appoint St Luke’s as our new creative agency. They had a really strong and distinctive response to our brief.  We are looking forward to working with them on evolving our campaign to continue to deepen relationships with existing audiences, reach new audiences and to achieve our purpose of helping the nation feel house proud.”

Neil Henderson, CEO of St Luke’s added “The pandemic changed the way people thought about home improvement. Wickes seized that opportunity and challenged the status quo. We are delighted to be the agency chosen to tell the next chapter of the Wickes story.”

Rich Denney, Joint CCO commented “From kitchens and bathrooms to everything else the home improver or professional tradesperson needs, Wickes has it all under one roof. And even more than that, the business takes extreme pride in every one of its people too, which makes them the perfect fit for St Luke’s and we cannot wait to get our overalls on, roll up our sleeves and get stuck in.”
