Sune Sorensen Directs Wonderful Spot for Teleflora and Make-A-Wish – A Holiday Story With a Donation Promise.

Hey Baby Director Sune Sorensen and The Wonderful Agency brings us a lovely heartfelt story to ring in the Holiday spirit.

Ida is stuck in the hospital for the holiday season only to find that a certain someone has stopped by for a visit – but he’s early…

The campaign is titled “A Holiday Wish” and includes a fundraising initiative – during tough financial times – that promises as much $250,000 from Teleflora to the nonprofit organization Make-A-Wish. Donations are triggered when consumers order seasonal bouquets, share wishes via social media with the tag #WishOutLoud, or add to the Wish Tree at Westfield Century City Mall in the brand’s hometown of Los Angeles.

Director Sune Sorensen: “This was my second holiday spot with the aptly named Wonderful Agency and it felt immediately special, not just due to the strength of the concept but also the value it will have in the lives of children, and their families, who desperately need it”.

The production was shot in Vancouver, Canada, and includes local talent and crew. “Finding a 5-year old protagonist with the natural and technical skills to perform in a role like this was an incredibly difficult task because I didn’t want the performance of our older pediatric nurse to carry the film alone”. And clearly, he found one… “When I met Aliyah Brooks, it was instant relief and elation – we found the needle in the haystack!”. Sorensen continues: “My experience is that deceptively simple storytelling like this requires even better people and, thankfully, we had that. Our crew was quite frankly phenomenal. From the DOP, 1st AD, and Art Director, to the Gaffer and Grip. All of them A-listers in my book.”

Sune Sorensen has received significant critical acclaim and attention for earlier Christmas spots such as McDonald’s “The Gift”, DocMorris’ “Take Care”, and Nreal’s “Look Beyond”.
