Samsung has fired up its hype machine to plug the looming launch of its first smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear.
Marketed as a science fiction writers fantasy wrought real the device is being plugged in a series of YouTube adverts taglined ‘After all these years, it’s finally real.’
Depicted watches include unattainable gadgets from Knightrider, The Jetsons, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Inspector Gadget… before the screen morphs to Samsung’s retail ready creation.
Expectations are muted for the launch however owing to a hefty $299 price tag and mixed early reviews.
