Freetrain, creators of an innovative piece of training equipment that supports hands-free carrying of your mobile device, have appointed leading PR agency The PHA Group with a brief that spans product placement, journalist and influencer engagement, and business profiling, as it continues to grow exponentially.
The Birmingham based fitness company provide an alternative solution to phone holder armbands/belts – giving fitness enthusiasts the freedom to train smart and train free.
Currently sold to runners and fitness enthusiasts across 12 countries worldwide, The PHA Group’s Sport and Fitness division will be raising awareness of Freetrain’s innovative offering across the consumer media and influencer landscape, as well as bringing Freetrain’s business story to life.
Interestingly, the business was set up by former Aston Villa youth player Jack Dyer (29) and former Walsall FC goalkeeper James Wren (27), who recognised the issue of running with your phone comfortably. They had the idea to make a hands-free option which was more accessible, solved the weight distribution issue of strapping a phone to your arm, and included a holder that flips down from your chest to easily access your phone.
Since then, a host of sports stars and celebrities have been seen wearing Freetrain’s products, including none other than Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba earlier this year. The business has experienced strong growth, hence the decision to bring onboard PR support to harness this further.
Commenting on the appointment, Jack Dyer & James Wren, co-founders of Freetrain explained:
“Upon meeting with Tom & the PHA Group we were immediately impressed by their intuition and resources. They have impressive experience working with companies who have also invented products, and this coupled with the fact that they understood exactly what kind of exposure we need to guide us along the way, meant it was a complete no brainer to work with The PHA Group.”
Tom Inskip, Head of Fitness at The PHA Group, comments:
“This year, more and more people are out running and starting up new fitness journeys. It’s a pivotal time to make sure Freetrain are front of mind among consumers looking for a solution to carrying their phone with them while they workout.
“It’s a simple concept, yet a game-changing product – we’re excited to have the opportunity to share Freetrain’s innovation with the national consumer, lifestyle, fitness and business media and influencer landscape, to help them to continue to scale and grow.”
