TBWA\London today announced the appointment of Sandie Dilger to the role of Chief Strategy Officer. Dilger, who joins from her role as Head of Strategy at Ogilvy, will join CEO Larissa Vince, CCO Andy Jex, and COO Katie Jackson in driving the agency’s next phase of disruptive creativity and growth.
As CSO she will lead TBWA\London’s strategic output across the agency’s client base, which includes Pladis (McVities, Jaffa Cakes, Jacob’s, Carrs), Nissan, AMD, Adidas and London Stock Exchange Group.
She will continue the agency’s focus on driving disruptive growth for clients through creativity, building on the agency’s Cannes Grand Prix-winning success for BECO in 2021, and on integrating the agency’s capabilities in data, comms planning and social strategy in pursuit of outstanding creativity.
Dilger, who starts with the agency on March 16, joined Ogilvy in 2017 where in recent years she led a team of 40 strategists working with clients including Vodafone, Boots and Sipsmith Gin. She oversaw the development of Sipsmith from a small craft gin brand to a global premium spirit through the injection of real creativity into how craft is communicated.
A passionate believer in diversity of thinking to drive creativity, Dilger has a reputation for building integrated strategy teams with diverse skill sets and experiences to get to more interesting creative solutions.
She has a wealth of both client and agency-side experience, having spent the first part of her career at Cadbury. It was during her seven years with the business that the iconic “Gorilla” was released, a moment of innovative creativity that inspired her decision to explore a role within a creative agency.
In 2012 Dilger became a senior planner at VCCP, before spending three years as Strategy Director at 101 London. A regular speaker at industry events, and a member of various awards judging panels, Dilger is passionate about DEI and fostering diverse talent in the industry.
Sandie Dilger, CSO, TBWA\London, said: “I am very excited to be part of the TBWA collective and look forward to bringing TBWA’s disruptive DNA to bear on the strategy department, the wider agency and our clients. I’ve found a like-minded gang in Larissa, Andy and Katie and look forward to working closely with them to develop outstanding creative work.”
Larissa Vince, CEO, TBWA\London, said: “Sandie really stood out for us because of her love for the creative work, her talent for creating simplicity from the most thorny of strategic issues, and because she’s the ideal mix of driven and kind. It’s a killer combination.”
Fiona Gordon, CEO, Ogilvy UK said: “The team and I have loved working with Sandie both personally and professionally, her passion for clients and the business shines through. We can’t wait to see what she achieves next.”
