Arbella Partners With Special Olympics Massachusetts and Joe Berkeley to Air New Commercials During Olympic Games

Joe Berkeley LLC announce four new commercials for Arbella Insurance and their partner Special Olympics Massachusetts. The commercials feature Lumene “Lightning” Montissol and other Special Olympians.

Shot on location at Milton Academy’s track, in Milton, Massachusetts, the production consisted of three scout days at Special Olympics practice, one crew day at Special Olympics practice, and one crew day during a Special Olympics Qualifier competition.

The voice of the campaign and the featured athlete is Lumene “Lighting” Montissol. A coach gave her the nickname “Lightning” when she was 14 years old because she was “wicked fast on the track.” Previously Lightning has won more than a dozen medals and appeared on camera on GOOD MORNING AMERICA.

The Special Olympics athlete oath states, “Let me win. But if I cannot win let me be brave in the attempt.” The goal of the film crew was to document that gritty spirit.

The commercials which are airing during the Olympic trials and the Olympic Games conclude with the message, “Donate at specialolympicsma.org”

Writer/Director Joe Berkeley teamed up with Art Director/Creative Director Tim Foley on the assignment. Berkeley said, “Everyone on the crew realized this assignment was a privilege and an honor. Our goal was to get the details right and show these athletes in the best possible light. The soft rain was a gift and we didn’t waste a drop.”
