Former PHD UK commercial chief Chris Walsh joins Exit Bee as Chief Growth & Partnerships Officer

Senior agency executive joins following new growth funding as Exit Bee steps up international expansion, strategic partnerships and new routes to market.

Chris Walsh, formerly Chief Commercial & Operating Officer at PHD UK, has joined Exit Bee as Chief Growth & Partnerships Officer.

His appointment follows new growth funding completed by Exit Bee this summer and comes as the company increases its investment in international expansion, senior commercial capability and deeper relationships with major brands and agency groups.

Walsh will work closely with founder and CEO Pavlos Linos and Exit Bee’s commercial leadership, with a remit spanning growth, strategic partnerships, agency relationships and international expansion.

Exit Bee pioneered micro-moment advertising around a simple idea: don’t fight for attention when you can wait for the moment it becomes available.

It then gives brands a premium canvas to make that moment count, combining high-impact creative, interaction and functionality that can take people from attention to engagement and action within the experience itself. That combination of timing and creative freedom sits at the heart of the category Exit Bee is building.

The company is now looking to take that model further: into new markets, into deeper strategic relationships with brands and agencies, and into buying environments that make Exit Bee easier to access at greater scale.

Walsh’s appointment is intended to accelerate that process.

Having spent much of his career inside major media agencies, he brings first-hand experience of how large advertisers and agency groups assess new media opportunities, how commercial decisions are made, and what it takes for an emerging proposition to move from individual campaigns into broader, longer-term partnerships.

Pavlos Linos, founder and CEO of Exit Bee, said:

“We pioneered micro-moment advertising because we believed there was a better way for brands to earn attention. The opportunity now is much bigger than where we started. Μore markets, deeper partnerships and a much larger role for Exit Bee in how brands think about attention. Chris brings exactly the experience and perspective we need for that next stage.”

Chris Walsh said:

“I’ve spent most of my career looking at media from the agency side, so I know how hard it is for genuinely new ideas to break through. Exit Bee has built something distinctive, and I think the opportunity is much bigger than where it is today. That’s what makes joining now exciting; helping turn that potential into deeper partnerships, new markets and sustained growth.”
