GENIE, the creative industry’s first automated talent agent, today announces well-traveled industry expert Matt Groves as its new Chief Commercial and Operations Officer, hand-picked to add to their dream senior team line-up.
Groves will join the team to lead GENIE’s continued growth, including taking a leading role on sales, overseeing GENIE’s expansion into new markets, and contributing to GENIE’s strategic direction – as the team look to maintain quality as the business continues to scale up.
After announcing advertising legend Sir John Hegarty as Chairman in April, Groves represents another coup in terms of experience brought into the company, having worked in the creative industry for more than 2 decades, including leadership and board level roles at the likes of Saatchi & Saatchi, Fallon, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Mother, unit9, Edelman and McCann-Erickson. More recently, Groves has focused his efforts on helping businesses to understand how AI and automation can transform their internal and external operations, making him a perfect fit for team GENIE.
The GENIE AI matches hiring companies to top industry talent and handles the entire process through a messaging service, liaising with both parties. She was developed from decades of industry experience, with the goal of engineering the intangibles of a talent spotter – creative insight, passion, and relationship building – into AI form to enable a leap in the speed and scale of recruitment. This gives creative companies direct access to best-in-class creative talent in an instant, and removes the pain of searching for work from the talent.
Matt Groves, Chief Commercial and Operations Officer, GENIE, commented: “I’ve known the team behind Genie since my time at Fallon & Saatchi & Saatchi. I jumped at the opportunity to combine my UK/US agency operations insight and network with my digital product, automation and management experience. GENIE matches the best talent to our clients in a super smart way and at amazing speed helping them to flex their workforce and stay competitive.
Nicky Badenoch, Co-Founder, Genie, commented:“Matt perfectly combines a passion for creativity and technology, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing systems and processes for growing companies to stay ahead, not to mention a 2 decade career in which he would have been the buyer of GENIE’s software. We’re absolutely thrilled therefore that he is bringing all this experience, expertise and know-how to our team at this time of accelerated growth.
