Sports PR agency MatchFit has appointed Rob Leary as a Senior Account Director, who joins the agency after two years in the role at global consumer powerhouse Exposure.
In his time at Exposure, Rob Leary was all-agency lead on the Samsung business, with notable other client work including Compare the Market’s ‘Meerkat Music’ digital gig series, and a global brief for LEGO’s ‘Rebuild the World’ campaign. Previously Rob was an Account Director at UK PR agency Pretty Green, representing the likes of Nintendo, Nando’s and Virgin Media.
Rob Leary becomes the first senior MatchFit hire to join co-founders Donald Parish and Will Mitchell on the leadership team, at a time of exciting growth for the agency which launched in 2019.
Over the past twelve months MatchFit has consolidated a strong base within football, adding to its place on The FA’s agency roster with a fast-expanding remit for global sports media business LiveScore. Most recently MatchFit unveiled Cristiano Ronaldo as the brand’s new Official Global Brand Ambassador, as well as the addition of free-to-air live-streaming UEFA Champions League football for Irish based users of the LiveScore app.
In May MatchFit worked with The FA to announce the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 ticketing and legacy programme, as well as recently delivering a number of projects for football culture brand COPA90, The EFL and AxisStars, the professional social network for sports stars created by former footballer Louis Saha.
