North-East Digital Agency SQUIDGY Expands team and moves to larger office as SME growth drives next phase

BUILT FOR SMEs, NOT JUST BIG BRANDS

Digital marketing agency SQUIDGY has expanded its team and moved into larger offices in Newcastle city centre – marking the next stage of growth as the agency focuses on supporting SMEs across the North-East.

Founded by Andy Robson, SQUIDGY started life as a freelance SEO operation before growing into a full-service agency offering PPC and Paid Social alongside its organic search roots.

Today the Newcastle-based agency works with ambitious small and medium-sized businesses to deliver measurable growth across SEO, Google Ads, and Paid Social.

The move to a larger workspace follows a sustained period of growth for the agency, with SQUIDGY investing in new talent and infrastructure to support an expanding client portfolio.

While many agencies chase large national accounts, SQUIDGY has built its reputation working with founder-led and owner-managed businesses across the UK. With strong roots in the North East, the agency serves clients spanning professional services, ecommerce, retail and tourism.

Recent client wins helping to fuel the agency’s expansion with the business continuing to attract companies looking to strengthen their digital performance.

Founder and agency director Andy Robson said: “We’ve grown because our clients have grown. SQUIDGY has always been about giving SMEs access to expertise that was traditionally reserved for bigger businesses – and that hasn’t changed.

“We run lean by design. This move is practical, not cosmetic – it gives us room to keep doing what’s working.”

As digital competition intensifies and advertising platforms become increasingly complex, more SMEs are seeking specialist support to maximise budget efficiency and improve performance tracking.

SQUIDGY’s growth strategy centres on strengthening its PPC and paid social teams, deepening long-term partnerships with clients and continuing to support regional businesses navigating the evolving digital landscape.

Andy Robson added: “There’s real ambition in the North-East business community – it just needs the right support behind it. SMEs shouldn’t have to settle for second-rate digital marketing because they’re not a big corporate.

“We’re proud to be building something here. When our clients grow, we grow – it’s that straightforward.”

With continued investment in talent, technology and regional partnerships, SQUIDGY plans to further strengthen its role supporting North-East businesses looking to scale through targeted digital marketing.
