Sauce Shop has a new secret ingredient
Mercieca welcome Sauce Shop to its growing roster of food and drink clients, as the independent condiment brand appoints the agency to lead its PR across trade and consumer media.
Founded in Nottingham by Pam and James Digva, Sauce Shop has built a distinctive name in condiments through its flavour-first approach, bold branding and a growing range spanning hot sauces, BBQ sauces and more. Mercieca will now work with the team to build on that momentum, putting greater weight behind the stories, products and people driving the brand forward.
The agency is on board to bring its specialist food and drink expertise to the account, combining strong relationships across grocery, convenience and hospitality media with its consumer and influencer network. That breadth will allow Mercieca to tell the Sauce Shop story from both sides of the shelf, building the brand’s industry profile while creating the kind of consumer appetite that gives retailers and operators even more reason to take notice.
Pam Digva, Co-Founder of Sauce Shop, said: “I’m really excited to have Mercieca on board. We’ve got so much happening at Sauce Shop and so many good stories to tell, so it feels like a brilliant time to have a team behind us who can help us make more noise about it.
“We want Sauce Shop to show up in more places, in more interesting ways, without losing any of the personality that got us here. There’s loads of scope to be creative, have some fun and give people new reasons to talk about the brand. Mercieca is another ingredient in the mix to help us do exactly that, and I’m really excited to see what we cook up together.”
Frankie Mercieca, PR Director at Mercieca added: “Food and drink is what we do, so welcoming Sauce Shop to the agency feels like a very natural fit. We know the category, the media and the wider industry inside out, and there’s something particularly exciting about putting that experience behind an ambitious, homegrown brand. There’s plenty on the table, and we’re hungry to get started!”
