Nunn to lead LePub’s U.S. operation from its New York hub, scaling culture-first, data-infused creative model. Appointment completes leadership bench in New York including Jim Curtis, Chief Creative Officer; Katie Coane, Head of Strategy; and Lorna Ruane, Global Head of Data and Culture Lab
LePub New York today announces the appointment of Shannon Nunn as CEO. Effective November 17, Shannon will be responsible for leading the agency’s U.S. operation, driving growth across clients, talent, and business performance for the creatively acclaimed global boutique network. Based in New York City, Nunn will report to Susie Nam, CEO of Publicis Creative U.S. and Bruno Bertelli, Global CEO and CCO of LePub Worldwide.
Shannon steps into the role at a moment of extraordinary global momentum for LePub. Over the past 12 months, the network has been recognised across the industry’s most prestigious platforms, led by LePub Milan being named Agency of the Year at Cannes Lions, where LePub earned 34 Lions, including 2 Grand Prix, alongside major honors at The One Show, the Clio Awards, D&AD, LIA, Golden Drum, and Eurobest, as well as the #1 spot on the WARC Creative 100.
LePub New York has grown 40% year over year, recently adding Maille to its growing client roster alongside marquee brands Heineken, Dos Equis, and Barilla among others, and taking home a Cannes Lion for its “Least Most Interesting Man” campaign for Dos Equis. Under Shannon’s leadership, the agency will accelerate its next phase of growth in the American market. Nunn will focus on scaling LePub New York’s distinctive model of creativity, helping ambitious brands earn their place in culture through ideas made to spread for brands built to endure. Working across the agency’s creative, strategy, data, and innovation capabilities, he will further LePub’s connected approach to building culturally resonant work that drives both immediate relevance and long-term business value for clients.
His arrival completes a deep bench of creative and strategic leadership at LePub New York. Nunn joins Jim Curtis, Chief Creative Officer, who guides the agency’s creative vision; Katie Coane, Head of Strategy; and Lorna Ruane, Global Head of Data & Culture Lab. Together, the team anchors LePub’s connected creative engine in the U.S., where data, culture, and technology work as one system to build brand platforms that spread in culture and endure over time.
“Shannon is a builder: he’s helped grow agencies and build culturally defining work,” said Susie Nam, CEO of Publicis Creative U.S. “LePub NY has remarkable momentum – and this leadership team is poised to deliver breakthrough work for what clients need today.”
“At LePub, we believe the most successful brands never separate creative ambition from business ambition, and Shannon understands this instinctively,” said Bruno Bertelli, Global CEO and CCO of LePub Worldwide. “He knows how to grow a business while protecting the creative ambition, culture, and top-tier talent that make an agency special. His leadership will ensure LePub New York keeps delivering culturally resonant, commercially transformative work that defines our pursuit of creative excellence.”
“LePub is one of the most exciting stories in our industry right now. What drew me to it is the ambition to build something different: an agency that puts creativity and culture at the center, with the data, technology and scale of Publicis behind it,” said Shannon Nunn, CEO, LePub NY. “There’s already an incredible team and real momentum. I’m excited to build on that with Jim, Katie, Lorna and the broader agency, and help make LePub a force in the U.S.”
Most recently President of Special U.S.’s New York office, Shannon is a business and brand leader with experience across both agency and brand side roles. He has a track record of building and scaling creative businesses, leading large agency operations, and partnering with some of the world’s most recognised brands. Prior to Special, Shannon held senior leadership positions at TBWA\Chiat\Day New York and in brand strategy and customer insights on the client side, bringing a broad commercial, operational, and marketing perspective to LePub.
