Spark Foundry UK Strengthens Its Leadership Team with New Head of Performance Hire

Spark Foundry, the Publicis Media agency that brings heat to brands, has announced today the hire of Oliver Wood as its Head of Performance.

Following the recent integration of Blue 449 into Spark Foundry at the start of this year, the entrepreneurial agency brings in the New Year by welcoming a fresh face to the leadership team. As a senior digital marketing and performance media specialist with over 18 years’ experience, Wood will be managing Spark Foundry’s PPC, SEO, Paid Social and Affiliate capabilities under a united Performance department.

Wood joins a solid team of senior media leaders including Lindsay Turner and Nigel Waring who are firmly at the helm as CEO and MD respectively, supported by Richard Dance, the Chief Digital Officer, Pete Edwards who was welcomed to the team last year, James Brown, who heads up Performance Planning, and Dr Mo Elfarra who is leading the charge for Data and Effectiveness for the agency.

Oliver Wood, Head of Performance, Spark Foundry UK said: “I am thrilled to have joined the Spark Foundry family. I am really looking forward to working with my new team and taking on a new challenge within an exciting, forward thinking agency, under Lindsay’s brilliant leadership. I’m excited to get stuck into delivering the best value and performance for our clients, along with innovation and excellence across all media. I believe my many years of experience, working both client and agency side, will allow me to do so with success.”

Lindsay Turner, CEO, Spark Foundry UK said: “Ollie’s depth and breadth of client and industry experience will further enhance our market leading performance department and overall client offering. He embodies the entrepreneurial ethos of the agency and is a brilliant addition to the team.  His arrival is a great way to kick off 2020 as a newly united agency.”

Wood joins the team from Group M where he has held several roles during his tenure. Most recently, Wood was Head of Performance for Global Clients at Wavemaker UK, overseeing over 70 performance specialists. Prior to this, he ran the Maxus performance division of over 90 people. Wood has worked with a wide range of clients including Apple, BT, L’Oréal and British Airways.
