THE GATE HIRES EX-ADAM&EVEDDB’S MANAGING PARTNER AS FIRST MANAGING DIRECTOR.

The Gate has appointed Charlotte Wolfenden as Managing Director on the back of strong growth. Wolfenden will report to CEO Jamie Elliott and will be responsible for shaping the day-to-day operations of the agency to meet its creative ambitions and developing its ‘Walk through walls’ culture.

Formerly a managing partner at adam&eveDDB, Wolfenden led the Lloyds Banking Group account, helping grow the business from a single brand client to a multi-brand portfolio.

Wolfenden spent seven years at adam&eveDDB in which time it was Campaign Agency of the Decade, working with clients such as Lucozade, Miller Genuine Draft, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and as Head of Account Management. She was also workstream lead for the Unstereotype Alliance UK Chapter, as part of the Agency’s membership.

Prior to that Wolfenden was at MullenLowe (then called DLKWLowe) where she rose from graduate trainee to Deputy Head of Account Management.

It was also shortlisted for Small Agency of the Year at the Oystercatcher Awards.
