Creative agency Waste Creative has appointed James Trimming to the newly created role of Head of Production.
Trimming joins Waste on a permanent basis following a stint as a freelance Executive Producer. Prior to this, he was most recently Head of Post-Production for Prodigious Worldwide, based in Singapore.
In his new role at Waste, Trimming will oversee the agency’s delivery department of eight people, consisting of both project managers and producers, ensuring that the whole team is working together to deliver quality work on time and on budget.
He will also be responsible for defining Waste’s ways of working, ensuring they are effective and efficient; reviewing and refining existing processes; and developing project-specific workflows and pipelines.
Trimming will play a key role on clients including Supercell and Riot Games. He will also work on new business and oversee production for Waste’s animation studio, This Thing of Ours.
He will report to both Mike Petricevic, Co-Founder and Creative Partner, and Visar Statovci, Co-Founder and Managing Partner.
Trimming has more than 12 years’ production experience, including permanent and freelance roles at TAG, Grey London and ENVY Advertising, amongst others.
Mike Petricevic, Co-Founder and Creative Partner, Waste Creative, said: “James brings with him a wealth of valuable experience from both network and independent agencies. His knowledge spans all aspects of production, from 2D to 3D pipelines to live action. His key strength is in animation, which means he’s also perfectly placed to boost the capabilities of This Thing of Ours.
“We’re delighted to welcome him to the team on a permanent basis.”
James Trimming, new Head of Production, Waste Creative, added: “I was initially drawn to Waste’s intriguing fan-first ethos, their long-standing gaming client list and the high-level animation creds of their studio, This Thing Of Ours. After being taken through the company roadmap and having a chance to work with their fantastic in-house talent, I was well and truly hooked.
“I’m delighted to be part of a creative agency that’s growing so fast while managing to retain its culture and core values, and I’m super excited to see what we can achieve together.”
