Europe’s leading health sports and leisure group has selected Edgbaston based PR agency, WPR to deliver the launch of its first stand-alone boutique studio in the UK, BLAZE by David Lloyd Clubs.
WPR, the award-winning PR, social and search agency, will be joining forces with David Lloyd Clubs to bring its new state-of-the-art fitness studio concept to Birmingham.
The two organisations are collaborating to introduce David Lloyd Clubs’ unique workout experience to people living and working in the city, through a combination of social media, press and influencer relations, and brand-building awareness campaigns.
Set to open in early January 2020, BLAZE is a new, pay-as-you-go studio that will offer a contemporary exercise space with dynamic HIIT (high intensity impact training) workouts to high-energy music, curated by BLAZE’s exclusive DJ, in-sync with dynamic lighting.
Jane Ainsworth, managing director at WPR, commented: “David Lloyd Clubs is a well-established brand that many consumers are familiar with and its BLAZE concept brings something totally unique to the burgeoning fitness market. We are excited to be introducing the new BLAZE studio to Birmingham and showcasing the boutique fitness experience to local workout fans.
“Our previous work with organisations such as The National Trust and Drayton Manor Park provides evidence that we have experience working with well-known brands, driving local and national awareness, customer acquisition, footfall and sales.”
Zoe Mead, studio manager for BLAZE Birmingham, adds: “We wanted to work with an agency that had a proven track record of successfully generating awareness of a new venture within a targeted audience demographic. As an organisation we felt WPR would be best suited to support us in the lead up to the opening of BLAZE Birmingham and we are looking forward to working with the agency on the launch.”
