AMV BBDO has promoted Strategy Directors Lola Neves and Sam Williams as Heads of Strategy. The pair will report to Chief Strategy Officer Tom White and Chief Customer Officer David Edwards.
The move follows the appointments earlier this year of Megan Thompson as Head of Data and Mark Bell as Head of Experience Planning.
Neves has been at AMV BBDO for seven years, primarily working on Mars Petcare and Confectionery brands. Williams joined the agency over six years ago and has been leading the strategy for clients such as Bacardi, Dixons, and Johnson & Johnson.
White and Edwards commented, “A high performing strategy department only happens in an environment where high standards and high compassion meet. Sam and Lola are distinguished by their brainpower and brilliance for inspiring and supporting those around them. They embody the creativity, cleverness, and kindness we value most at AMV. As our Heads of Strategy, we’re sure they will help lead an incredible department to even more incredible heights”.
AMV has won Gold at every IPA Effectiveness Awards since 2008 – the longest unbroken run of Golds in IPA history. The agency has also won more Marketing Society Effectiveness Grand Prix than any other agency in the past decade – 2013 (Sainsbury’s), 2015 (EDF Energy), 2018 (Bodyform), 2020 (Guinness). AMV won the inaugural Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Effectiveness in 2011 (Walkers) and more recently was ranked the #2 agency in the world in the WARC Effective 100 and has been Agency of The Year at The FAB Awards on a few occasions.
