Matthew Weiner has been appointed as a Senior Strategist by the international creative content company, The Moment. He joins a growing content strategy team, led by Sandra Peat, and will help to create and execute elegant strategies and inspire creative solutions for The Moment’s brand clients.
A former journalist and editor for The Times/FourFourTwo/Goal/CNN, Matthew arrives from digital agency Dare, where he devised content strategies and led a team of content creators working with Barclays, Barclaycard, BMW, Nike Football and Huawei. Before Dare, he drew upon his extensive journalistic and digital publishing experience to help establish Sabotage Times as a content agency.
Sandra Peat, Strategy Director said “I am delighted to have Matthew joining the company at such an exciting time. As a senior strategist, with a wealth of content and editorial experience, he will play a key role in building The Moment’s strategic approach to content marketing, as well as pioneering innovative integrated marketing solutions for our clients.”
Matthew Weiner adds “I’m very excited to have joined The Moment. I believe that brands have the power to make a difference to people’s lives and so was inspired by the Coffee vs Gangs series the content company created for Kenco. The series has since won The Drum’s award for Best Branded Content Campaign. I want to help The Moment create more inspirational content and hopefully win a few more awards along the way.”
Matt’s appointment follows a string of hires for the creative content company. During the past year The Moment has brought in Will Glynn-Jones from Leo Burnett, Matthew Robinson from AMV BBDO and Sandra Peat former Bacardi and Red Bull UK.
