Jane Lynch and Christian Cooper reunite to introduce the Kaytee Smart Feeder in a national campaign built around backyard entertainment
FlyteVu, the full-service creative and culture agency, has launched “Kaytee Presents Nestflix,” an integrated national campaign for client Kaytee, introducing the Kaytee Smart Feeder Kits. Returning brand ambassadors Jane Lynch and Christian Cooper use their humorous chemistry to demonstrate the product’s innovations and bring backyard birding to life.
In the videos, Lynch plays a passionate but somewhat clueless birding enthusiast, while Cooper brings his birding expertise and an easygoing sense of humour to their backyard adventures. Together, they show how Kaytee’s Smart Feeder Kits help turn everyday birdwatching into up-close entertainment. The creative turns the characters, rivalries and unexpected visitors at the feeder into entertainment, with Lynch getting caught up in the backyard drama.
“Birdwatching already has all the ingredients of great entertainment,” said Linda Knight, Chief Creative Officer, FlyteVu. “There are characters, rivalries, romance, unexpected visitors and a surprising amount of drama. The Kaytee Smart Feeder Kit lets you see what’s happening even when you’re not there, so ‘Nestflix’ felt like a really natural idea. And Jane Lynch was perfect for it. She gets totally wrapped up in who’s showing up, who’s causing trouble and what’s happening at the feeder. Basically, all the backyard drama you didn’t know you were missing.”
Lynch, an avid birder, and Cooper, host of National Geographic’s “Extraordinary Birder” and author of “Better Living Through Birding,” reprise their roles from FlyteVu’s 2025 “Birding 101” campaign, which introduced Kaytee’s Birder Hub.
Directed by Duncan Heger and produced by Stadium Production Group, the campaign includes three 30-second hero videos with 15-second cutdowns, six additional 15-second videos and eight six-second buttons. The work launched at the end of October and is scheduled to run nationwide through June 2028 across brand-owned and talent channels, paid social, PR and retail partner websites, including Amazon.
Building on last year’s campaign, Kaytee is continuing its partnership with FlyteVu to grow brand awareness, introduce its Smart Bird Feeder Kits and reinforce Kaytee and its Birder Hub as trusted resources for backyard birding.
Both Smart Feeder Kits include all smart features with no subscription required, plus a 32GB SD card for local photo and video storage and complimentary three-day rolling cloud storage included, while longer cloud retention requires a paid monthly or annual plan. The Kaytee app identifies more than 11,000 bird species and lets users share backyard moments. The Kaytee Birder Hub provides expert advice, seasonal feeding tips and educational resources for year-round discovery.
“Building on the momentum of our first year together, we’re excited to continue inspiring more people to discover the joy of backyard birding,” said Manny Orejuela, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Kaytee. “With the launch of the Kaytee Smart Feeder Kit, Nestflix brings together Kaytee’s trusted expertise with new technology that makes connecting with the birds outside your door easier and more engaging than ever.”
Designed for birders of all experience levels, Kaytee’s new Smart Feeder Kits pair smart technology with trusted bird nutrition, providing everything needed to attract and observe backyard birds right out of the box.
