Independent creative agency Impero has appointed Elliott Starr as Creative Director.
Starr takes on his new role with immediate effect and will report to Alastair Mills, Joint ECD.
As Creative Director, Elliott will work across many of the agency’s key clients, including George at Asda, Jordan / Nike, Christian Aid, and Absolut. He will also be involved in new business opportunities for the agency.
Elliott’s most recent role was as a Creative Director and Head of Copy at 20Something. Here, he spent 3.5 years and was responsible for helping ECD Will Thacker run the creative department. His time in the role saw him create notable work for The Woolmark Company, EA Sports, and Chelsea FC, among others.
He began his career in advertising at Leo Burnett London, where he was recognised by Cannes Young Lions twice, in 2014 and 2015.
Elliott’s experience spans creative agencies, like Fallon, where he worked across clients such as Cadbury, Škoda, and Expedia, and branded content agencies, like Drum, where he worked as a Senior Creative across all clients, while helping to secure several pitch wins.
Michael Scantlebury, Founder & Joint ECD of Impero, said: “Elliott is a brilliant creative who has already shown us some of the magic he can bring, while working with us as a freelancer on a few projects. We are excited to welcome him back to the team full-time.”
Elliott Starr said: “I love what I do, and consider it a privilege I get to call this a living. Never is it more of a privilege, than when you’re busy actually making. In particular, making things that move people, and making them with great people. I’m excited about doing plenty of that with the lovely folks at Impero.”
