The 72andSunny, Anomaly, and W+K alum will drive the creative vision for Preacher’s growing European footprint
Preacher Amsterdam has made its first major creative leadership hire, welcoming Simone Moessinger as Executive Creative Director. She joins the agency following its first full year in the Netherlands, during which time it has taken on a roster of global clients including GetYourGuide, Catawiki, Under Armour, and Netflix.

In her role, Moessinger will lead creative development and direction across all clients, working in partnership with co-founder & CSO Seth Gaffney and Managing Director Gaia Rossetti to continue building out Preacher’s Amsterdam presence. She will also drive the agency’s ongoing initiatives to support the local creative community—a practice Preacher has made a priority since opening its doors in Austin, TX, in 2014.
Moessinger joins Preacher Amsterdam from 72andSunny Amsterdam, where she was Executive Creative Director. In her time she led work across Google, Samsung, Adidas, Klarna and e.l.f
“Preacher is centered on an ethos of creative generosity that doesn’t just apply to its clients, but to the cities it inhabits and to each other. That was a huge draw for me,” said Moessinger. “It’s an untraditional agency where “different” is the expectation—from the way it approaches ideas to the way it embraces responsibility. That kind of thinking leads to unexpected output which, as a creative leader, is what I’ve always strived for.”
Moessinger got her start in advertising at Wieden+Kennedy Portland, where she completed the W+K12 training—a foundation that helped shape her creative path at Wieden’s London and Amsterdam offices. She later returned to her native New York City to take on the Creative Director role at Anomaly, working across Budweiser, Umbro, and Converse. A few years later, Moessinger’s passion for different cultures— she speaks 5 languages and majored in International Affairs—pulled her back overseas to join 72andSunny, where she spent the past 12 years in creative leadership. There, she met and partnered with Preacher Amsterdam’s Managing Director, Gaia Rossetti, who joined the agency last May.
“Simone is wildly well-rounded. We’ve been fans of her work for years and are already witnessing the power of her approach. She’s open and decisive, thoughtful and clear, kind and hungry. She’s committed to making our partners more impactful and to contributing to the place and communities she inhabits,” said Gaffney. “Simone genuinely welcomes people into the work, and it gets better because of it. She’s creating more belief across the board.”
Moessinger’s work has been recognized across the industry from Cannes Lions to D&AD to the One Show. She has also co-wrote the screenplay for the globally awarded short film Second Best and contributed to the anthology One Page Love Story. She actively supports female-run businesses, having worked with brands like SelfStudios and LoveStories to help bring their stories to life, and has an insatiable passion for helping young creatives find their voice.
