NHS Doctor launches initiative to crowdfund home-cooked meals prepared by independent food businesses for frontline NHS workers
London-based A&E doctor Jack Manley setup DeliverAid to deliver free, nourishing meals to on-shift NHS colleagues. Jack approached Rehab Agency to create a new platform that enables the public to donate money that goes towards cooking and delivering pre-prepared meals to NHS workers. DeliverAid aims to support the struggling hospitality industry by working with local food businesses, such as The Quality Chop House, 40 Maltby Street and Ombra - who have pledged to provide meals, helping support a struggling hospitality industry More than 200 healthy meals have already been successfully delivered to Whipps Cross, Royal London, and Homerton Hospital DeliverAid is now welcoming public donations here
