London-based growth hacking agency, GrowthMinds has hired Mindshare senior manager Chris Peters into its newly created role of Director of Client Growth. This hire comes as GrowthMinds are rapidly scaling in their support of startups in the UK.
At Mindshare, Chris led accounts for B P, Three and scaleups like Dollar Shave Club and Birchbox. T he choice to leave one of the world’s largest media agencies for an up-and-coming growth hacking agency was driven by the opportunity to work ahead of the curve in a more agile team.
The move comes at a time as more traditional media agencies are attempting to diversify their services by setting up teams and incubators designed to grow startups. As growth hacking becomes a bigger priority for businesses of all sizes, many traditional agencies are trying to adapt their processes historically built around above the line campaigns to new digital practices.
Speaking about the hire, Kate Fairhurst, CEO of GrowthMinds said “We’re delighted that Chris has decided to join the team at such an exciting time in our development. He will be a critical part of the management team as we continue with our mission to be the w orld-leading resource for startups to realise their full potential, get funding and reach exit.”
Founded in 2016, GrowthMinds have used their growth hacking frameworks to scale a wide range of UK startups. Now with a database of over 1000 tried-and-tested growth hacking experiments, they are scaling their impact on the UK startup scene.
Recognising that growth hacking depends on experimental and agile ways of working rather than large departments, Chris Peters felt he could create more impact
for more startups by joining a team that shared this mindset. Describing his ambitions at GrowthMinds as Director of Client Growth, Chris Peters, said:
“Growth hacking is all about getting out of comfort zones and experimenting. In just a few years the GrowthMinds team have built a cutting-edge methodology and run over 1000 experiments for a wide range of startups.
“Since joining, I’ve been astonished by the pace of work, delivering strategies in weeks that would take months to roll out in larger traditional agencies.”
“In my new role, I am excited about helping our clients accelerate their growth and fully embed growth hacking into their businesses. I’m really excited by the challenge and I can’t wait to build on the good work that has already been done.”
