Today, UK Export Finance (UKEF) – the Government department and the UK’s export credit agency – has announced the appointment of ENGINE as its creative agency of record following a competitive pitch. ENGINE will take over from incumbent MSQ Partners.
UKEF’s mission is to ‘ensure that no viable UK export fails for lack of finance and insurance while operating at no net cost to the taxpayer’. It addresses gaps in the private sector to provide finance and insurance support to help UK exporters of all sizes win contracts, fulfil orders and get paid. UKEF provided £4.4 billion in financial support for UK exporters in 2019-20.
As part of the two-year contract, ENGINE will be tasked with helping to raise awareness and understanding of UKEF’s offer among UK companies, by delivering world class integrated B2B campaigns –including the Exporters’ Edge Campaign.
ENGINE’s scope will cover both strategic and creative development, as well as data insight, direct marketing and PR.
Will Rostron, Head of Marketing & Communications at UK Export Finance said: “UKEF has a vital role to play in supporting UK businesses who trade overseas. Increasing knowledge of UKEF and its products and services has never been more critical to our mission than it is today. We are delighted to be partnering with ENGINE to help us support exporters at this challenging time.”
Annie Gallimore, Managing Director, ENGINE Creative said: “We are proud to be able to play a part in helping UK businesses grow at such a critical time. I look forward to working with the highly skilled team at UKEF and taking the Exporter’s Edge campaign to a more personal and effective level.”
