Visionary product design executive will oversee all agency design output
Siberia, the independent digital product innovation studio, has appointed Dave Snyder as Partner and Head of Design.
Regarded as having played a critical role in building one of the world’s finest digital agencies, the former CCO of Firstborn and ex Slice and Twitter Head of Product Design, has been charged with overseeing all of Siberia’s design output from UX research to branding and UI design.
Snyder will be working across clients including Ford and the James Beard Foundation – both new wins – with a brief to make Siberia’s design work globally renowned for its strategic content, novel form, and craft of output.
Chris Mele, Managing Partner, Siberia, says: “Dave is an OG in our little community of digital product. He played a central role in establishing the Firstborn brand and culture, which we deeply respect, and is refreshingly focused on the work, and specifically not all of the noise that surrounds it. We both see the industry evolving significantly in the coming years, and believe in Siberia’s potential to become a driving force in innovation.”
Dave Snyder, adds: “I’ve admired Siberia since its founding ten years ago, and I’m thrilled to now play a pivotal role in shaping its future. We’ve all felt the industry shift, both in big tech and within agency landscapes, where agility and hands-on leadership have finally come back into focus. This next chapter demands leaders who aren’t just excited about the work, but actively contribute. We need player-coaches, not just people managers; leaders who cherish the craft and foster genuine collaboration with teams and clients alike. Leaders who have long since shed their ego and share in both the struggles and successes. I’ve come to believe in two fundamental truths: rad work and rad people. You can’t have one without the other.”
Siberia continues its focus on growth for 2024 with a raft of recent launches for United Talent Agency, Kismet, Miracle Seltzer and Champion. Its client roster includes: Airbnb, Yeezy, IMAX, Native Instruments, YouTube and The Cannabist.
