The Great Pitch Company (TGPC) have become the first business development consultants to add wellbeing services as part of their offering with the hire of executive coach Paul Wilson.
Paul will work alongside founder and CEO Marcus Brown and his team, with an adjacent and complementary offering to the consultancy’s work in driving up win rates for agencies, whilst driving down wasted resources. Whilst the consultancy focuses on helping agencies win pitches, Paul will ensure that the agency pitch team are mentally well prepared for the emotional demands of a pitch so they can perform at their best.
Paul has over 25 years of experience in media and advertising, including Global Chief Strategy Officer at Vizeum and later at Local Planet, an independent media network. He has rolled out global agency training programmes, run global client workshops and facilitated board away days. Most recently he qualified as a coach and launched his own coaching practice as well as working with The Great Pitch Company.
Founder and CEO The Great Pitch Company said: “The Great Pitch Company has always been a strong advocate and supporter of mental health and our annual Great Pitch Poll tracks people’s attitudes and actions. So Paul’s offering is a logical extension of that interest.”
Paul Wilson, Wellbeing Executive Coach, The Great Pitch Company adds: “ I found myself becoming more interested in helping people rather than brands navigate moments of change. My unique set of skills covers Pitching, Strategy, Training and Coaching which compliment what Marcus does at The Great Pitch Company.”
Since 2019, The Great Pitch Company has run The Great Pitch Poll, an annual survey on the business development practices in agencies, and their impact on mental health and wellbeing.
The 2024 survey is in-field with the results to be published in early 2025.
