The award-winning creative leader joins from Ogilvy, where she served as chief creative officer

Independent advertising agency Optimism BH has appointed Lisa Bright as partner and co-executive creative director, effective July 6. As a partner in the agency, she will also help shape Optimism BH’s next phase of growth.
Bright joins Optimism BH with more than two decades of experience building brands and leading creative teams across some of the industry’s most recognised agencies. Most recently, she served as chief creative officer at Ogilvy California, where she oversaw creative across a diverse portfolio of clients and led work for brands, including Workday, Dove, IBM, Gallo, and others.
Throughout her career, Bright has also developed culturally resonant campaigns and creative platforms for brands, including Jeep, Cottonelle, Kleenex, Glad, and Wrigley. She is known for building high-performing multidisciplinary teams and creating work that connects with audiences across channels and cultures. In 2016, she was named No. 4 on Business Insider’s list of the 30 Most Creative Women in Advertising.

As we continue to grow, I couldn’t dream up a better partner to help us push our work, our clients, and our industry forward.”
Bright said the agency’s culture and outlook made the opportunity particularly compelling.
“Joining Optimism BH is an opportunity to build something meaningful alongside wildly talented people who have genuine belief and excitement for the future,” she said. “At a time when optimism truly feels like a courageous act, this is a team that lives and breathes it—so much so that they put it on the door. How could I not want to be part of that? And I am so ready to bring that fearless energy to our work, our people and our clients every day.”
Recognised throughout her career for combining strategic rigor with creative ambition, Bright has earned accolades from Cannes Lions, The One Show, Clios, Webby Awards, Ad Age, Adweek and Fast Company, among others.
