Meet The People (MTP), the innovative alternative to the big advertising holding company model, today announced the hiring of Lu Hur as the company’s Group Chief Financial Officer. The move comes after two years of growth for the young agency group founded by ad veterans Tim Ringel, Tom Armbruster and Natalie Alberta Dusey, and includes VSA Partners, Public Label, Match Retail and Saltwater Collective.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Lu join our team,” says MTP co-Founder and Group COO, Tom Armbruster. “Her background in both media and advertising is impressive, to say the least. And her track record in helping to grow topline revenue and increase the profitability of these businesses puts her at the top of her field.”
Ms. Hur, who is joining from 160over90 (an Endeavor company), is equally enthusiastic about her decision to join the company. “MTP represents a seismic shift in the agency world. Its people-centric model is timely and needed in a business climate that is demanding more humane approaches to advertising. It’s a vision that perfectly aligns with my own.”
“MTP has real momentum right now,” says Armbruster, “so the timing couldn’t be better for Lu to lend us her guidance and leadership. As Group CFO we believe her impact will be felt immediately, as we prepare our organization to better capitalize on the expansive opportunities that are now before us.”
Founded over two years ago, MTP has been on a significant growth trajectory. And through strategic and financial support from Innovatus Capital Partners LLC, the New York-based portfolio management firm, MTP has already completed multiple acquisitions.
“Meet The People is poised for even greater expansion in the coming year,” says MTP co-Founder and Group CEO, Tim Ringel. “And Lu offers us an unmatched level of expertise in driving business growth and ROI. We’re all very excited to pursue this next chapter in the evolution of MTP.”
Ms Hur will assume her new role immediately.
