In an unusual move for a creative advertising agency, Arcana Academy has introduced Vitabots, a children’s vitamin brand, according to Executive Creative Director and Co-Founder of the agency, Shane Hutton.
Hutton explains, “We have regular ‘What’s Your Best Idea?’ meetings at the agency. Doesn’t matter if the idea is related to advertising or not. If we love it, we’ll do it. Well, nearly a decade ago, a big idea came through. A better children’s vitamin. Today, after eight years of development, Vitabots, vegan multivitamins, powered by Liposomal Vitamin C, are now available on Amazon. Essentially, the Vitamin C is wrapped in a cloaking device that makes your white blood cells just think it’s a normal everyday cell. The result is way better absorption of the Vitamin C. They are also delicious, made with organic ingredients, gluten-free, and don’t have that chalky Vitamin-y taste.”
“We also managed to create a brand with ‘pester power.’ Made it look like junk food. Gave each character an engaging story and unique abilities. The plan now is to expand the Vitabots universe into other vectors in the ‘healthier for kids’ space, “ Hutton adds.
Arcana Academy was responsible for wholesale execution of the vitamins, from sourcing a best-in-class vitamin producer based in the United States, to fulfillment, and distribution.
The agency plans to run media on social channels like Instagram as well as on the Amazon platform. In addition to the vitamins, the Vitabots shop will also feature a coloring book and set of action figures that engage children in a story about calcium, vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin E, vitamin C, and vitamin D. Arcana Academy also developed a supervillain that attempts to steal high quality nutrition from the world.
Future plans for Arcana Academy include development of education videos about vitamins, minerals, and healthy eating.
