New name, identity and website enable Allgeier IT Services to transition to independence following acquisition.
Global design and technology company Athlon has led the strategic repositioning and new brand identity for AVENDIS, the German IT services platform formerly known as Allgeier IT Services (“AITS”).
When Synova acquired Allgeier IT Services from Allgeier SE, a legal obligation to separate from the Allgeier brand triggered immediately. The business had under eight weeks to launch a new name, identity and website, while aligning a PE-backed board and 200 people behind the change.
Athlon was appointed to lead the full programme: naming, visual identity, messaging, website and brand guidelines. The task was to create a brand capable of supporting the company’s strategic repositioning while maintaining credibility with its established client base of mid-market enterprises and infrastructure operators.
Working to an accelerated two-month timeline, Athlon delivered a full brand transformation. The agency generated and evaluated numerous naming options, conducting linguistic, cultural and strategic validation across markets. The resulting name, AVENDIS, provides a clear and scalable platform for the company’s next phase of growth.

On 1 March 2026, Allgeier IT Services ceased to exist. AVENDIS launched with a new name, a full visual identity, a live website and a leadership team that understood and believed in every decision behind it.
