After an extensive selection process, Wien Nord Serviceplan, the full-service creative agency headquartered in Vienna, has been chosen to work on new ways of communication for the Austrian National Tourist Office.
After several years without a full-service creative agency, the Austrian National Tourist Office (ANTO) initiated a Europe-wide search in December 2022 with the aim of completely realigning the brand. Wien Nord Serviceplan has previously successfully executed communications for tourism companies such as WienTourismus, and currently for Burgenland Tourismus, implementing some of the most successful national campaigns in recent years.
Now, as part of Serviceplan Group’s House of Communication Vienna, Wien Nord Serviceplan is set to support the ANTO in overcoming the challenges of changing travel and experience behaviours in a post-pandemic era through a new communication strategy that will present Austria as a destination in the international arena. The new direction and image of the ANTO will be unveiled at ITB 2024 in Berlin.
Markus Mazuran, Managing Partner, Wien Nord Serviceplan, comments: “Tourism is a reflection of current social developments. New demands for individual, sustainable holiday design, the rise of soft tourism, economically challenging times, and even the omnipresent topic of A.I. are changing the landscape. A one-size-fits-all approach in destination communication can no longer meet these rapidly evolving requirements. We’re thrilled to support the ANTO with a forward-thinking and bold concept that confidently sets Austria apart as a destination.”
ANTO Managing Director Astrid Steharnig-Staudinger explains: “I’m delighted that Wien Nord Serviceplan will serve as our full-service agency in the coming years. They understand how to capture the zeitgeist and develop innovative approaches that enable us to present Austria distinctively in the international arena. Choosing Wien Nord Serviceplan as our partner reflects our ambition to innovate in communication and to project Austria with passion and boldness. I’m eagerly looking forward to our future collaboration and am convinced that together, we will inspire enthusiasm for Austria.”
The results of the collaboration, effective since July 2023, will be showcased from spring 2024.
