Dotted Line Agency Lands on ADWEEK’s 2026 Fastest Growing Agencies List

Independent agency earns the honor on the strength of 188% revenue growth

Dotted Line Agency, an independent, full-service advertising agency, has been named to Adweek’s 2026 Fastest Growing Agencies list, ranking 15th based on revenue growth from 2023 to 2025. The annual program honors agencies large and small from around the world whose industry presence is on the rise.

Dotted Line earned the distinction on the strength of 188% revenue growth over the three-year period. Participating agencies certified the accuracy of their reported revenue figures, and Adweek conducted additional auditing to verify submissions. The full 2026 rankings will be published on Adweek.com and in the September 1 issue of Adweek magazine.

The recognition caps a period of rapid expansion for the Richmond-based agency, which grew from five employees in 2023 to 19 today and added an Atlanta office in 2025, extending its reach across one of the Southeast’s fastest-growing business markets. DLA also developed a Media Strategy, Planning & Buying department over the past year under the leadership of Mark Pavia—an advertising and media veteran and head of Media and AI. Pavia has also strengthened the agency’s AI-enabled media and AI Engine Optimization (AEO) offering to help deliver measurable performance and long-term brand value for clients.

Founded in 2014 by founder and CEO Lauren Sweeney, Dotted Line is built to multiply potential for growth-minded brands. Following a major restructuring, the agency redesigned its operating model around retained strategic partnerships, which now account for roughly 90% to 95% of revenue—fueling more predictable growth while allowing the agency to serve as a deeper strategic partner to its clients.

Much of that momentum comes from an integrated model that brings strategy, creative, media, analytics, and AI together under one leadership team, eliminating the handoffs between consulting firms, creative agencies, and media partners that often dilute results. Media has become one of the agency’s fastest-growing practices since Dotted Line began integrating media strategy into the creative process from the earliest planning stages, and its AI and analytics consulting has expanded as clients look for practical ways to turn data into better decisions.

That approach has driven measurable results across sectors, including 251% audience growth for independent radio station WNRN and a “Wi-Fi Wishes” campaign for Twist Broadband that drove 139% more site visits and 161% more orders. That momentum has also fueled major account wins in 2025 and 2026, including agency-of-record assignments for First Team Auto across all six of its dealerships and Green Front Furniture along with brand and campaign leadership for Reynolds Community College.

“We built Dotted Line to prove that brand and performance aren’t competing priorities,” said Sweeney. “The strongest growth happens when you build them together. I’m endlessly grateful to our people for their talent and heart and to the clients who’ve made us a true partner in their growth.”
