Grubhub Taps Google Alum Piedad Rodriguez to Serve as Director, Brand Insights and Strategy

Grubhub has hired Piedad Rodriguez as Director, Brand Insights and Strategy. Rodriguez was previously Director of Global Consumer Insights at Google and is recognized for her expertise in unlocking data insights to drive impactful marketing strategies and communications.

In her newly created role at Grubhub, Rodriguez is leading strategy and data insights for the brand. She joins the team led by CMO and Head of Growth Ariella Kurshan and will report to VP Brand Marnie Kain.

Rodriguez’s appointment follows Grubhub and Amazon’s recent announcement extending one-year free Grubhub+ offer for U.S. Prime Members as well as the launch of “Delivery’s Other Half”, a cross-channel ad campaign designed to raise awareness that Amazon Prime members can get a free Grubhub+ membership.

Last Summer, Grubhub also announced the expansion of its Campus Dining business to more than 60 schools across the country. Grubhub Campus Dining is the higher-ed-focused part of Grubhub’s business that serves college students and directly integrates mobile ordering into campus meal plans.
