Nottingham-based digital PR agency Tank, has purchased 5 Kayes Walk in the city’s historic Lace Market for its new headquarters.
The 4,500 sq ft, three storey regency-style Victorian building will enable the business, which was recently named the third fastest growing PR agency outside of London, to double its 20 strong team.
The agency, which was named in the PR Week top 70 consumer PR agencies in the UK, and top 180 overall, has enjoyed an excellent year, expanding its team and adding clients such as global creative agency Moving Brands, Sun-hat Villas and The Access Group.
Neil Worthington of NatWest and consultant Julia Wilkinson assisted with funding for the building, with the purchase itself handled by Tom Redgate of Rothera Sharp. Mark Tomlinson of FHP also advised Tank throughout.
Trevor Palmer, Tank’s founder, explains what’s driving the business’ expansion: “Tank has never been a conventional PR agency, and this has resonated with the types of clients, and of course employees that we want to work with. This refusal to conform to industry stereotypes has made us a destination for a lot of people who seek that point of difference. We hope that the new office, and what we will make of it, will reflect this – without being forced. We’re looking forward to what will be a more enjoyable, functional and aesthetic space for our expanding team and our clients.”
The new building will provide opportunities for Tank to act as a central ‘hub’ for industry best practice. It will host events and invite like-minded individuals and organisations to share knowledge and be inspired in whatever industry they hail from, and grow the Tank network further.
