Adjust Your Set will continue to operate as a standalone agency within the OLIVER Group, retaining its existing client portfolio and brand strategy.
Adjust Your Set will operate under its existing founder Chris Gorell Barnes who remains as chief executive. Gorell Barnes is expected to take on group responsibilities within OLIVER.
OLIVER Group’s investment will enable the two companies to extend and deepen capabilities in creativity, digital and content, while giving Adjust Your Set access to the Group’s global agency resources and ways of working.
Adjust Your Set works with brands including Marks & Spencer, Barclaycard and Diageo. Gorell Barnes founded the agency in 2008 in response to the rise of digital and the untapped opportunity for brands to be publishers and broadcasters in their own right.
Simon Martin, global chief executive, OLIVER Group, said: “Adjust Your Set is a real innovator when it comes to digital content. Through its vision and guidance, the agency has empowered big brand names to take ownership of content. It’s a great business to be venturing with.
“OLIVER Group is on an ever-evolving journey. Two years ago we were just OLIVER, now we have four agencies within the Group. Adjust Your Set brings a deep rooted knowledge in content strategy and creation that will complement our existing capabilities. Likewise, we will be sharing our successful ‘inside’ philosophy, opening up new opportunities and ways of working for the agency and its clients. Acquisitions like this are testament to us ensuring that we are as future-proofed as our clients need us to be.”
Chris Gorell Barnes, founder of Adjust Your Set, added: “Adjust Your Set has always been a pioneer in content marketing. To be aligned with another entrepreneurial and fast growing business like OLIVER is a brilliant match. They have an innovative business model that fits perfectly with Adjust Your Set’s; and a platform that will allow us to expand globally whilst helping deliver content excellence for all our clients.”
The news follows hot on the heels of OLIVER Group’s expansion within Central Europe where it has been appointed to handle the creative offering for O2 Czech Republic. OLIVER Group has offices in London, Dublin, France, Germany, Netherlands, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, and Turkey. Last year the Group made three acquisitions in DARE, Aylesworth Fleming and Marketing Matters.
