Party Land Hires Tatchie Vasconcelos and Kevin Turner to Further Its Already Deep Bench of Creative Talent

Fast-Growing indy agency is hailed for its use of comedy

Party Land has hired Associate Creative Directors Tatchie Vasconcelos and Kevin Turner, both perfect fits for the agency, having made their reputations most recently at Funworks, where they were ACDs on Ubisoft, Hint, Clorox, and Dave.

Party Land has had tremendous growth since its 2018 founding, creating imaginative, humorous, and memorable work for a range of clients including Liquid Death, Men’s Wearhouse, Every Man Jack, Urban Decay, and JanSport.

Tatchie Vasconcelos is an ACD/art director/designer with a lifelong passion for “mischief and buffoonery.” Not somebody who is fluent in normalcy, she finds refuge in advertising. When Tatchie’s “not creating havoc with her inquisitive nature,” you can find her living in too many different cities, dancing on skyscrapers, or buying copious amounts of art. Before joining Party Land in May 2024, she lent her subversive creative approach to renowned agencies including Funworks, Translation, MullenLowe U.S., R/GA, RPA, Swift, Saatchi & Saatchi LA, and 72andSunny.

As an ACD/copywriter, Kevin Turner has sent a bottle of whiskey into space, built a candy-powered robot, and put a two-foot-long cuttlefish on the corner of Powell and Geary in San Francisco. Before joining Party Land, Kevin developed creative work at agencies including Funworks and EVB. Before pivoting to writing ads, Kevin was producing them, and brings a strategic and executive mindset to his work as a creative.

Vasconcelos notes that “The most recent work we made together is CALM (the little heads that pop up and whisper in your ear) and it’s a good example of our sweet spot.”

Vasconcelos continues, noting “While we do all kinds of comedy (surreal, dialog-driven, etc.) we also do heartfelt and anthemic campaigns.” Their key category experience is in CPG, Fintech, Gaming, Food and Beverage, Entertainment, and Retail.

Party Land, with offices in Los Angeles and Colorado, proudly claims to be comedy’s greatest ad agency. It takes additional pride in being renowned for its ability to drive business results through the strategic use of humor. Named an Ad Agency Small Agency of the Year by Advertising Age in both 2021 and 2023, Party Land has quickly emerged as a top independent agency in the U.S., garnering recognition for consistently creating unignorable, effective campaigns for marketers who believe in the power of comedy to turn audiences into fans.
