Sid Lee London, the recently formed specialist sport hub of global group Sid Lee, has added further creative firepower to its growing team with two senior hires.
Laura Randall, previously Creative Director at Iris where she led the agency’s work with adidas, assumes responsibility for the creative output of Sid Lee London; delivering client work and leading on business pitches, while helping to build an inspiring creative culture.
Prior to Iris, Laura was Associate Creative Director and creative lead of the Nike Women account for R/GA, winning a Sports Grand Prix at Cannes for her work on NikeSync during her five years with the company.
Randall completes the senior leadership team at Sid Lee London and will report directly to CEO, Stephen Hall.
Joining forces with Laura to spearhead Sid Lee London’s creative output is Alex Kitchin who boasts a wealth of experience that includes a six-year stint as Senior Creative at WeAreFearless.
Alex played a key role in establishing creative platforms for the agency’s pan-European campaigns across a range of major international sporting bodies and events, including the Olympic Games, UEFA, and the Australian Open (tennis). Kitchen assumes the role of Creative Director at Sid Lee London.
Commenting on the appointment, Stephen Hall, CEO of Sid Lee London, said: “Following a series of landmark appointments last year, Laura and Alex are two more fantastic hires that speak to our ambition, and direction, as an agency. It’s a measure of Sid Lee London’s growing reputation that we have been able to attract creatives of their calibre, and we are excited to unleash their award-winning talents across our roster of clients.”
Discussing her new role, Laura Randall, said: “I’m massively impressed with the team at Sid Lee London and the culture and client base they are building. There is huge ambition for growth and a clear desire to produce iconic and enduringly famous campaigns for the biggest and best brands. I love the passion, commitment, and diversity of the team, this will be a competitive advantage for the agency moving forwards.”
Alex Kitchin added: “This is an exciting time to join Sid Lee London. The vision of the leadership team and the commitment to creating long-term fame for its clients is a dream scenario for any creative.”
The appointments of Randall and Kitchin further strengthen Sid Lee London’s dedicated sport and entertainment team as the agency grows its footprint in the UK market.
Last year, the agency hired Jack Kenney-Herbert from CSM as Director of Sponsorship, Rory Natkiel from Iris as Head of Strategy, and Account Director Brigitte Sesay, with a specific focus on developing Sid Lee London’s women’s sports business – a position that reflects a growing focus area for the agency.
Sid Lee London was established in 2021 following Sid Lee’s acquisition of UK sponsorship agency Infrared. The global creative group, which is headquartered in Montreal, Canada, currently has seven offices worldwide, including two in Europe.
The London office is building its UK reputation around a unique, creative-led full-service offering for brands in sport. Clients include Visa, FIFA, Lidl, adidas, OPPO and London Sport.
The wider global agency has a 30-year history producing award-winning creative work, including for leading global sports clients such as the Toronto Raptors, adidas and The North Face.
