Independent brand design agency Vault49 share the appointment of Rose Akehurst as Managing Director of its London studio.
Rose joins the global agency from an eight-year stint at Design Bridge and Partners where she held several posts across its New York and London studios, most recently as Head of Growth UK.
Jonathan Kenyon, Co-Founder of Vault49, said of Rose’s appointment, “I am thrilled to announce that Rose Akehurst has joined Vault49. Our long-standing mission to build brands deeply embedded in culture is as relevant as ever, and London is a crucial location for us to keep building that vision for Vault49 and our clients. Rose’s leadership is established at the highest level in our industry, and she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our global team.”
Jonathan continued, “One of Vault49’s core values is ‘play’. In the few months I have had the pleasure of working alongside Rose, I have laughed more, smiled wider, and enjoyed all our time together. Rose lives and breathes Vault49’s core values, and we are confident that the London studio will continue to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation under her leadership.”
Overseeing Vault49 London from an operational and organizational perspective, Rose will be responsible for driving growth for the studio, and act as a mentor for the senior members of the London team. She will also be an integral part of Vault49’s global senior leadership, working in close collaboration with the agency’s Partners and department heads across New York and London.
“The agency landscape is contracting and consolidating to keep up with client pressures – smaller budgets, tighter deadlines, increasing competition – but Vault49 has always occupied a unique space in the market with a strong reputation for playing with honesty, integrity, and bravery. The culture-first approach is what so many others strive for, and it is at the heart of what Vault49 is all about. Combined with an impressive client list, incredible set of people, and the agency’s world-class strategy and creative work, it really is the perfect opportunity. I can’t wait to see where we can take Vault49, and the London studio in particular, next.” – Rose Akehurst, Managing Director of Vault49 London.
Alongside Rose, Vault49 London recently welcomed Nikki Kirk as Production Manager, and Sinead Duffus as Studio Assistant. At the same time, Laura Negin joins the global team as HR Manager, based out of the New York studio. Tara Morrison and Joell Ang have also joined in New York as Senior Strategist and Junior Designer respectively.
