Raindrop Scores Major Creative Coup with the Addition of Rob Strasberg as Creative Chairman

The renowned creative leader joins the independent agency, citing explosive growth, integrated production, and equity model as a blueprint for the industry’s future

Full-service creative agency Raindrop today announced that Rob Strasberg, who served as co-owner and CCO of Doner and VP CD at CP+B during its heyday, has joined the agency in the newly created role of creative chairman. Strasberg’s return to advertising signals that something special is happening at Raindrop.

“There are moments when you know you are in the epicenter of something very important,” said Jacques Spitzer, CEO and CCO, Raindrop. “Having a singular talent like Rob join us now is a true catalyst event—as we continue proving ourselves a force to be reckoned with.”

Strasberg left agency life after selling Doner to MDC. While at Doner for more than 10 years, he elevated the agency’s creative profile with cross-platform new business wins for Fiat, Jeep, JCPenney, Del Taco, JBL and Amazon. For 10 years prior, he was a VP creative director at Crispin Porter + Bogusky for Truth, Burger King, Sprite, Miller Lite, MINI and Volkswagen, helping lead them to AdAge’s Agency of the Decade. He has been named one of the “Top Ten Most Awarded Creative Directors” in the world by AdAge’s Creativity Magazine and has won multiple Cannes Lions Grand Prix and One Show Best of Show awards, along with dozens of other prestigious honors.

After Doner, Strasberg joined Humble Design as co-CEO of the nonprofit founded by his wife in 2009. Together, they expanded the Detroit nonprofit nationally, building partnerships with U-Haul and Progressive Insurance, and became two-time Emmy-nominated co-hosts of their own TV show on the CW.

Two years ago, Strasberg reached out to Spitzer because he loved Raindrop’s creative approach for Dr. Squatch. Raindrop repositioned the tiny soap brand, creating a brand platform that built the business to hundreds of millions in revenue.

That conversation led to both a friendship and an ad hoc collaboration in which Strasberg began to work with Spitzer and his teams to advise on strategy and creative and mentor younger creatives. It quickly became obvious to both sides that the relationship had a lot of room to grow.

“Jacques and his partner Adam Wagner have built an infectious creative culture. I just love being around them and their team. The most important asset any company can have is great leadership,” said Strasberg. “The first time I met Jacques, I was blown away by his approach to advertising. He has an amazing creative intuition built on client success through creativity and their integrated production model is years ahead of anyone.”

Strasberg’s role will be varied and flexible as the agency continues to evolve and grow. He’ll provide oversight on creative and strategic work while rolling up his sleeves and developing ideas as well.

“Rob will bring out the best of what we can be without changing the way we do what we do,” Spitzer added. “We know how to help companies generate billions in sales. Rob knows how to generate ideas that connect in mass culture. That will be a really powerful asset for us.”

The addition of Strasberg marks another milestone in Raindrop’s rapid growth and its fiercely disruptive business model, where the agency often serves as both agency of record and an early-stage sweat-equity investor. The agency’s success is embodied in its recent achievement with superfood gummy brand Grüns, a startup Raindrop grew from zero to a $500M valuation in 20 months. In April 2026, Unilever acquired Grüns for $1.2B, making it one of the fastest and largest liquidity events in modern CPG history.

Raindrop currently works with one-quarter of the entire roster of Bain & Company’s annual list of the most insurgent brands while simultaneously building customized relationships with Fortune 500 companies and brands in areas of emerging need. Most recently, they were chosen by P&G to market their pet-friendly weed and grass killer, Spruce, their largest brand launch in history.

The agency represents brands such as Grüns, Native, Dr. Squatch, Dude Wipes, Weber, Opopop, Sprouts Farmers Market, Magic Spoon, Baseball Lifestyle 101, and Hello Panda. They’ve won multiple industry awards, including four Emmy Awards, and its creative work has appeared in three Super Bowls.
