amicable, the trusted legal service for separating couples, has appointed Splendid Communications to lead its UK PR strategy, following a competitive pitch.

The appointment will see Splendid develop and deliver a fully integrated communications plan designed to grow national brand awareness and position amicable as the innovative, child-first alternative to traditional approaches to separation and divorce.
Founded to help couples separate without conflict, amicable offers an empathetic, couples-led and fixed-fee approach that supports families through the legal, financial and practical aspects of separation. The brand’s mission is to transform how people end relationships, in a kinder and better way – putting children’s wellbeing at the centre and challenging the assumption that separation must mean adversarial legal representation.
Under the new partnership, Splendid will oversee PR, media relations, thought leadership, content and events strategy to confirm amicable as a pioneer in progressive family law.
Kate Daly, Co-founder of amicable, commented:
“We’re challenging the narrative that divorce must be adversarial or expensive. Separation can be handled in a way that prioritises children’s wellbeing and allows both people to move forward with respect and empathy. We chose Splendid because they understood our mission immediately – to bring warmth, trust and humanity to the national conversation around separation.”
Alec Samways, CEO of Splendid Communications, added:
“This is a female founder-led company with a powerful mission and purpose that champions kindness, considering all perspectives especially when kids are involved and with a positive focus on the future. These are things we will always get behind. The team was such a pleasure to work with on the pitch process and we’re looking forward to driving perception, behaviour and even policy change together.”
