Copa90 is teaming up with Facebook on 2016’s Facebook Football Awards. As part of the partnership, Copa90 has created animated video promos to run worldwide.
The annual Facebook Football Awards, which first launched in the UK last year, gives football fans the chance to vote for the season’s top performers.
This year, the awards have expanded to include Spain and Germany alongside the UK. The categories include Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, Manager of the Year and Club of the Year.
Copa90 has created three animated videos to promote the Facebook Football Awards, one for the UK, Germany and Spain. Each of the films highlights the key categories fans can cast their vote in. The videos are short animations in the style of super hero comics, telling the stories of the teams and players nominated for the awards.
Facebook chose Copa90 to partner with due to Copa90’s experience in creating brilliant fan-centric video content combined with a passionate audience on social.
The video animations will be published on Copa90’s Facebook page, and Copa90 will be activating its 3 million strong fan base across all platforms to vote in the awards. The videos will also run across the Facebook Football Awards’ media partners’ Facebook pages in the UK, Spain, Germany, as well as Facebook’s own Football on Facebook Page.
The awards voting opened on Friday, April 15th and will run through to April 29th. Winners will be announced at award ceremonies in each country in early May. The ceremonies will be live-streamed on Facebook.
