Taking the Temp: One Year into COVID-19 – new research

As we approach the one-year anniversary of the global pandemic and as the UK starts to emerge from hibernation, research technology platform Lucid has run a custom survey across the U.K. and U.S. to delve into changing sentiments. 

Here are a few notable findings: 

UK

  • Work: 44% would prefer to work remotely post pandemic.
  • Transportation: 68% say COVID-19 will have a lasting impact on how they use mass public transportation.
  • Travel: 60% have plans to travel once vaccinated.
  • Health: 55% say their mental health has suffered during COVID-19.
  • Entertainment: 56% added an additional streaming service during COVID-19.
  • Dining: 63% say COVID-19 will have a lasting impact on how they choose to dine out.
  • Retail: 34% are slightly uncomfortable to shop indoors prior to vaccination.
  • Romance: 60% think it’s possible to keep a romantic connection alive during the pandemic.

 U.S.

  • Work: 47% would prefer to work remotely post pandemic.
  • Transportation: 59% say COVID-19 will have a lasting impact on how they use mass public transportation.
  • Travel: 72% have plans to travel once vaccinated.
  • Health: 66% say their mental health has suffered during COVID-19.
  • Entertainment: 55% added an additional streaming service during COVID-19.
  • Dining: 70% say COVID-19 will have a lasting impact on how they choose to dine out.
  • Retail: 34% are very comfortable to shop indoors prior to vaccination.
  • Romance: 87% think it’s possible to keep a new romantic connection alive during the pandemic.
