Unlimited Group has announced the appointment of Sarah Shilling as its new Group Chief Marketing Officer.
Previously Managing Partner, Brand at Unlimited Group, Sarah joins the Senior leadership team as Unlimited Group embarks on a new growth trajectory.
Sarah has over 20 years’ PR and brand marketing experience and this appointment proves the critical importance of PR within the group and how pivotal the discipline is for any brand’s marketing outreach. It also clearly demonstrates the Group’s commitment to diversity by pro-actively promoting female talent from within the business.
Sarah is an award-winning communications and brand expert with extensive experience in corporate, B2B, consumer and integrated communications across a wide range of industries. She joined Unlimited Group in 2013 when she moved to Fever Unlimited (the PR, social and Influencer specialists) as a Board Director then subsequently became Director of Operations across both Fever Unlimited and Nelson Bostock Unlimited (the technology and B2B PR specialists in the Unlimited Group), where her role included looking after marketing and business development for both agencies.
Prior to 2013, Sarah held senior positions at Sainsbury’s, Ketchum, and Shine. She has also formerly held high profile in-house positions as Head of Corporate Communications at Pernod Ricard UK and Global Head of Communications for Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG).
Commenting on Sarah Shilling’s appointment, Unlimited Group Managing Director Michael Richards said: “Sarah has the attitude, skill, tenacity and ambition for this role and will spearhead Unlimited Group’s marketing plans to drive growth.”
Sarah Shilling said: “Given the bold and ambitious plans for growing Unlimited Group following the reorganisation earlier this year, the timing could not be better. My first brief is to make the Unlimited Group famous and the second brief that I’m especially proud to be taking on, is the position of a female role model for all the exceptionally talented women across the group.”
Earlier this year, the Unlimited Group rebranded and reorganised itself into seven disciplines to offer clients a simple, bespoke and fully integrated service. The discipline pillars cover Health, Customer Engagement, Brand (which includes Fever Unlimited), Digital Transformation, B2B & Technology (which includes Nelson Bostock Unlimited), CRM & Acquisition and Insight & Analytics.
Sarah replaces Ryan Wain who left the position to pursue a career in law. Following the reorganisation earlier this year, the Unlimited Group appointed Michael Richards as Group Managing Director.
