Video games giant SEGA has partnered with global integrated communications agency Way To Blue to launch its newest platform game Sonic Frontiers. Families were invited to the free event that will take place at Camley Street Natural Park in London between 10am and 4pm on 27 October, during October half-term. It was an opportunity for all attendees to learn about how to safeguard this much-loved creature. The event included meet and greets with Sonic The Hedgehog, and information from renowned hedgehog expert and author Hugh Warwick about hedgehog welfare and advocacy. Ben Fogle was also on hand to engage with families, discuss his love of nature, and in particular hedgehogs.

The event took place to coincide with the launch of Sonic Frontiers but to also raise awareness of how each year hedgehogs are at risk of being injured, hurt and even killed as people in the UK celebrate bonfire night.

As well as educational elements, there was a host of Sonic The Hedgehog-themed activities, including a Sonic treasure hunt, drawing competition, clay hedgehog modelling, pond dipping and an exclusive chance to play the new Sonic Frontiers video game before it hits shelves on 8th November 2022.
