Samsung has unveiled a 68-strong global athlete roster as part of its Olympic and Paralympic sponsorship activation strategy ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games.
The new Team Samsung Galaxy line-up spans 17 countries and nine winter sports, including freestyle skiing, snowboarding, alpine skiing, speed skating, figure skating and Para sport disciplines. The roster includes Olympic champions, world champions and emerging talent, positioning Samsung with a year-round athlete storytelling platform in the build-up to the Games.
Notable athletes include British freestyle skiing world champion Zoe Atkin, two-time Olympic snowboarding gold medallist Anna Gasser, US freestyle skiing star Alex Hall, figure skating world champions Ilia Malinin and Alysa Liu, and Paralympic alpine skiing champion Arthur Bauchet. British snowboarder Txema Mazet-Brown is also included.
The move marks a significant scaling of Samsung’s athlete-led content and fan engagement strategy, extending beyond Games-time sponsorship into a sustained pre-Games activation model. Athletes will share behind-the-scenes training, competition and personal stories across digital platforms in the 12 months leading up to Milano Cortina 2026.
Samsung has been a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner since 1998, and the expanded roster reflects a broader industry shift toward always-on sponsorship activation, athlete partnerships and social-first storytelling around major events.
With strong representation across action sports and youth-facing disciplines such as freestyle skiing and snowboarding, the roster also signals a continued focus on engaging younger audiences in the run-up to the 2026 Games.

Athletes Who Bring Openness to Life
With a strong presence across nine key disciplines—including snowboarding, skating, skiing, bobsleigh and cross-country skiing—sports that embody creativity, expression and performance under pressure, the Team Samsung Galaxy roster reflects the diversity of winter sports.
For Milano Cortina 2026, Team Samsung Galaxy includes Olympic freestyle skiing champion Alex Hall (USA), freestyle skier siblings Miro and Flora Tabanelli (ITA), innovative performer of world-first snowboarding tricks Ian Matteoli (ITA), multiple-time short track speed skating World Champion and Olympic medalist Minjeong Choi (KOR), freestyle skiing World Champion Zoe Atkins (GB), and two-time snowboarding Olympic Gold medalist Anna Gasser (AUT). In alpine skiing, Arthur Bauchet (FRA) holds multiple Paralympic and World Championship titles, while former national champion Adam Žampa (SVK) showcases the field’s most formidable talent. Along with figure skating elites, this year’s team also boasts World Champion Alysa Liu (USA) and two-time World Champion Ilia Malinin (USA).

Born on Réunion Island, raised between the Alps and New Zealand, Txema Mazet-Brown’s been chasing snow since before he could walk. He’s a two-time FIS European Cup Big Air champ and 2024 Junior World Champion. Representing Great Britain, Txema mixes Euro precision with Kiwi flow. Off the comp scene, he’s all about filming and traveling.
“Snowboarding for me is about progression and riding with my friends,” said Txema Mazet-Brown. “It’s a way of life that thrives on openness – to new ideas, unexpected challenges, and continuous improvement.
“We push each other, try new things and spend as much time on snow as possible. That’s how I’ve always learned and how I want to keep moving forward. With Milano Cortina 2026 coming up, I’m focused on riding and progressing with that same openness and doing what I love. I’m stoked to work with Samsung and to share some of that openness with others along the way.”
Balancing Stanford studies with halfpipe podiums, World Champion, Zoe Atkin is rewriting what it means to be a student athlete. With precision and style, she’s become one of the most talked about names in freestyle skiing.
